Are there any requisites to participate in any of your offers?
No, there is absolutely no need to have prior experience in any of the activities, neither be creative nor flexible. In personal development, there are no levels. You are welcome as you are, I will adapt me to your individual situation.
Do you also offer coaching?
As a licensed psychotherapist, I offer psychotherapy and coaching. Coaching is not a protected profession, so it’s always good to ask for credentials, background, supervision and continual studies. Psychotherapy has especially its focus on processing the past, while coaching is leaning more towards working on your goals for the future. I am trained in both aspects and will customize the sessions to your needs, along the way.
When should I choose for individual or for group therapy?
In an individual trajectory, you are central, and we focus on only your questions. The advantage is that it is totally customized to your needs. This allows to go deep and fast.
However, group psychotherapy offers an extra dimension. Here, each participant comes with their individual background and explores in their way. Additional input or interactions with others may get patterns to the surface, give you more clarity of how you relate to others, which are more difficult to grasp in an individual session. Connections arise, projections start. This makes it more enriching and dynamic.
Many people prefer Individual Group Therapy, as it’s more common. However, as a social being, we also heal in connection to others. Group members can be seen as part of your team, as extra support. It’s very beautiful, rewarding and empowering to be part of each other’s processes.
For some, Group Therapy may feel more vulnerable. Know that I am trained in creating a safe and non-judgmental space in a group. All the exercises I offer are gently built-up one another, so gradually trust is growing among the participants, and personal limits are always respected and honored.
We are all different, with different needs and preferences. Individual and group therapy also combine very well together. Choose what resonates most, and if you have no idea, feel free to contact me for a chat.
Are your activities accessible for people with limited ability?
Most of the time they are. I strive for inclusion. Even the movement sessions can be done by people in a wheelchair or limited mobility. It might be that some venues are not so accessible in itself. So if you want to be sure, please check in beforehand. If I know you are coming, I can make small changes, so you can participate and be 100% part of the group.
What can I expect from a first individual session?
During the first session, I will hear you out about your situation, to get a detailed view. There is also space for you to ask your questions. Together we will define how we will collaborate during the next sessions.
